Many people suffer from thyroid conditions and problems with their adrenal glands. You or someone you know may have hypothyroidism, which means a low level of thyroid hormone is present. Your adrenal glands secrete several hormones that affect your entire body. These are important hormones that give you health and vitality. This includes sex hormones. Due to aging, busy and stressful lifestyles, and due to other illnesses we experience, the adrenal hormones can become depleted and do not provide us with the benefits that they once did. THE PROCESS

The thyroid gland secretes T4 (thyroxine) and T3 (triiodothyronine). A common form of treatment for hypothyroidism is to treat someone with levothyroxine, a synthetic form of T4. But it does not work for all patients, some continue to have symptoms. The fact is, T3 is also needed. But it has only been available in a synthetic form that is rapidly released and absorbed, and so can lead to higher levels of T-3 in the body then normal, and this can cause serious side effects like heart palpitations.

At Total Health & Rejuvenation of Buckhead Atlanta, we do a simple blood draw to determine your exact deficiencies. The bottom line is that your body is not making enough thyroid hormone for your needs and so thyroid hormone replacement is necessary. We attempt to replicate normal thyroid levels to the extent possible. This means that we monitor your progress and health to ensure that you are not receiving too much or too little thyroid hormone.

With adrenal conditions, we supplement the inadequate adrenal hormone levels, either thru herbal remedies or bioidentical cortisol replacement. We always discuss our processes with every client and answer all of your questions. Please note that hormone therapy for thyroid and adrenal issues are primarily given by oral supplements.
